It made the shortlist because of three deliberate choices: the rounded, almost pill-like silhouette that reads as both retro and current; the matte metallic finish in muted tones that resists fingerprints and glare; and the absence of visible branding or cluttered ports, leaving only clean curves and subtle seams. Among dozens of miniature speakers, this one looked like it belonged beside a well-worn book or a ceramic vase, not just tucked behind a monitor.

The body is cast from a zinc-aluminum alloy with a high-tech painted coating. It measures roughly palm-sized, includes a woven lanyard for carrying, and arrives with a fabric gift bag. Internally, it uses Bluetooth 4.2 with a 33-foot range and a rechargeable battery rated for 7+ hours of playback after a 3-hour charge.

Place it on a light oak desk beside a linen notebook or let it anchor a shelf with other sculptural objects in warm neutrals or soft pastels. It’s not ideal for those who prioritize bass-heavy sound or need room-filling volume—it’s meant for intimate spaces and background listening.
